1 January, 8 March, Khmer New Year in April, 1 May, the royal birthdays, Constitution Day, the two October days and 9 November all fall on the same date each year. Those are on the grid above for any year you choose.

These four follow the Khmer lunar calendar, so the Gregorian date moves every year and is fixed by the annual sub-decree. They are listed here by name until that year has been entered, rather than shown as a guessed date.
Where these dates come from
Cambodian public holidays are not set by a permanent statute alone. The list is confirmed for each coming year by a sub-decree of the Royal Government, normally published a few months ahead, and that document — not this page — is the authority.
Four holidays move every year
Visak Bochea, the Royal Ploughing Ceremony, Pchum Ben and the Water Festival follow the Khmer lunar calendar. Their Gregorian dates cannot be worked out by simple arithmetic and are published in the sub-decree, so this page lists them by name rather than printing a guess.
Check before you close the office
A sub-decree can add a one-off day, shift Khmer New Year to start on 13 April, or move a holiday that falls on a weekend. For anything with money or a contract attached, confirm against the sub-decree itself.
Keeping it up to date
When the next sub-decree is published, the four movable dates are added in one small file and the whole calendar follows. If you spot a date here that does not match the official list, tell us and we will correct it the same day.
